Top 8 Celebrate Songs From Their Birth Year

This week the American Idol 8 Top 8 performs songs from the year they were born, and they have to liberty to choose any genres that is their cuppa tea?!

Danny Gokey started off the show, he sang Stand By Me, at first i didn't recognize the song, he changed some tunes and once again...Danny ended with a BANG! As usual, Danny did great once again!After Danny was Kris Allen, this week Kris did an up-tempo song and was surrounded by screaming girls while performing, i don't think the song fits him, he sound better singing a ballad, the instruments was actually louder than his voice. Lil Rounds sang Tina Turner's What's Love Got To Do With It, i heard this song many times on Lite FM, and her rendition of it was not even close to the original version, Lil was trying to imitate Tina but she failed miserably!

Then Anoop Desai showed his "True Colors", Anoop did really good this week, he should sing slower songs, it's was really good!

Scott MacIntyre sang The Search Is Over with an electric guitar for the first time on stage, he should stay behind a piano, it was a little boring and he can really talk...when Ryan Seacrest is giving out his numbers he was still talking...LOL

Allison Iraheta performed I Can't Make You Love Me, it was a great vocal performance, and she look so much better this week, it was so funny when she responded to Simon's comment"Nobody Likes Me??"Matt Giraud sang Part Time Lover, it was soulful, great vocals, he wore a nice hat, nice song, i thought it was his best performance yet.

And finally, Adam Lambert...OMG, i hate to say this but he was really really really good this week, i didn't hate it, no Fantasia screech...it was slow and a soft "Mad World" He did really good and he should stop screeching in the future...LOL

Papa John's Pizza

Made an unexpected trip to Papa John's Pizza Times Square after class today...Akiko must be really hungry or really desperate for more cheesy Land and Sea pizza! So Snow/Suat, Akiko, and me went there a really late late tea!

Since it's almost dinner time, we ordered a 9' inch pizza, breadsticks, and cheesesticks. We ordered Texas Heat since the set doesn't include Land and Sea

Both breaksticks and cheesesticks comes with a plate of pasta sauce, creative, it doesn't taste weird, i think it taste even weird if you dip it with ketchup or chili sauce after trying it with pasta sauceTexas Heat was okay, i'm not jumping off the chair, it comes with a pickle and garlic butter sauce, talk about cholesterol! The sauce taste like pizza hut's garlic bread...you can taste the butter more than the garlic...and the pickle was...i forgot how it taste like...should be salty...LOLThe price for a 9"inch pizza is not really worth, you can get a bigger pizza at Pizza Hut or Domino for the same price, i think the specialty here is the garlic butter sauce and the pickle, if you are really looking for some really really yummy pizza, with extra cheese and extra toppings..."made just for you"...try Shangri-La's Hotel pizza at the Lemon Garden Cafe.

Don't hold a grudge against me if you're a fan of Papa John's, it's just my opinion! It do stands out a little compared to other Pizza outlets

ACM Entertainer of the Year

From a farm girl to an American Idol winner to a Grammy Best New Artist and now Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year, you can't deny Carrie Underwood is a country sensation!Carrie captured the top honor at the ACM Awards yesterday! Beating country singer Kenny Chesney who won entertainer of the year for four years in a row! This award has only been granted to seven woman including Carrie.

Taylor Swift won the album of the year award for her album Fearless, her current hit single Love Story is also from this album. Congrats!

Miley Cyrus is rooting for an Idol

Speaking of Miley Cyrus...blogged about her in the previous post, she is rooting for American Idol contestant Allison Iraheta! Allison is one of the remaining two girls on the show...Cyrus stopped by the Idol set this week to tape a performance of her new single, "The Climb," to be aired in an upcoming episode. Most probably next week...hmmm

The singer also got a chance to mingle with the season 8 contestants, and Adam Lambert is not her type...LOL...because he wears eyeliner...Adam told Miley that she looked gorgeous...imagine him saying that in a really girly way... >.<

Hannah Montana: The Movie

The wait is almost over...Hannah Montana: The Movie will be in cinemas soon, on April 10th- Easter Day!!! While doing assignment for Cybersociety, once I enter Disney.com the trailer started playing by itself!Here's a brief synopsis of the movie, after getting in a shoe fight with Tyra Banks, Hannah Montana's father trick her back to Tennessee to reflect what is more important in life. Hannah alter ego Miley spends her time in Tennessee with her best friend Lily and Oliver, and realized she likes the life in Tennessee and many more spoilers that should not be posted here!

There's also cameo appearance by country singer Taylor Swift, American Idol contestant Bucky Covington, country group Rascal Flatts, Steve Rushton, and America's Next Top Model judge Tyra Banks!

The movie also features 12 new songs from Hannah Montana - Miley Cyrus - Miley Cyrus - Hannah Montana...LOL...including the current single The Climb that's playing on the radio now!Hannah Montana: The Movie will be released on April 10th, 2009! This movie won't be the end of Hannah Montana television series like the other Disney Channel Tv Series...eg. Lizzie McGuire!

Last few post i posted that you have to be at the sea at the right time and at the right place to witness the mass migrations of stingrays...here's a sight where you have to be at the right time and place to witness the Fire Rainbow!A circumhorizontal fire rainbow arc occurs at a rare confluence of right time and right place for the sun and certain clouds.

Crystal within the clouds refract light into the various visible waves of the spectrum but only if they are arrayed correctly relative to the ground below.

Due to the rarity with which all of these events happen in conjuction with one another, there are relatively few remarkable photo of this phenomena.

No More "Joy" For Megan

Megan Joy Corkrey the singing songbird has flown away...CAW CAW CAW..., she sang Turn Your Lights Down Low by Bob Marley and now the spotlight has been turned off. The judges did not even want to use the save on her.

In the bottom three with Megan was Allison Iraheta and Anoop Desai. Since Megan was supported byVote For The Worst.com, now the website will be picking another contestant to support. I wonder who will it be...???The Top 9 sang Don't Stop Believing by Journey and it sounded really really good!

Tonight special guest performance was our current American Idol who beat David Archuleta last year - David Cook...he performed his second single Come Back To Me from his debut album

And Lady Gaga gave an stellar performance of Poker Face, her transparent piano with bubbles inside was so...different and nice! I didn't know she plays the piano...i liked her performance, and the violin player was great too!

Top 9 Sings Billboard Top Dowloads

It thought tonight theme was going to be fun and exciting because Billboard top download songs is more current, but it turned out a little boring for me, there was some bad song choices and bad fashion choices, pictures below...LOL

The show opened with Anoop Desai singing Usher's Caught Up, i hate it when Anoop does that arrogant, cocky, i am a legend look...he always think he's so good but i don't really think so, his performance tonight was corny and boring...it was bland, clumsy...and did not Caught Up with the other contestants! His performance made me sleepy and the show just started! Trainwrecky to me...And speaking of trainwrecks, pity Megan Joy Corkrey picked the wrong song again this week, i really like her in the beginning of the show, but it's getting really bad week by week, she need a miracle to stay for another week, and i pity her that the judges was so harsh on her again.

One of my fav contestant sang one of my fav genre, Danny Gokey goes Country again! He sang What Hurts The Most by Rascall Flatts and it was his BEST performace of the season! Danny ROCKS!Mr Piano Scott MacIntyre as usual, played the piano and tonights performace was also his best of the season, but i think he was a little out of tune...:(

Allison Iraheta sang No Doubt's Don't Speak, she played the guitar for the 1st time on the show, it was ok...a little shouty here and there...and really bad fashion choices this week!Matt Giraud sang The Frays' You Found Me, i'm confused with him...sang it really well but it was kinda not him...who is he?

Lil Rounds picked the wrong song again...and why is she wearing different wigs every week?Kris Allen sang Ain't No Sunshine, it was really really good! Enjoyed it very much! and he played the piano!

Speaking of enjoyment, i did not enjoy Adam Lamberts' performance this week...again! OMG, his screeches....eeekkk, eeekkk, eeekk...my ear is so gonna bleed, and my eyes is also gonna bleed when he twist his hips like a stripper.....OMG...in a bad way...not a compliment!
