No More Save For Matt Giraud

There's no save for Matt Giraud anymore, the piano player from Kalamazoo was eliminated from the show last night receiving the lowest numbers of votes. Matt Giraud was saved by the judges two weeks ago after receiving the lowest numbers of votes! Joining Matt in the bottom 3 was Kris Allen, and joining him in the bottom 2 with Matt was Adam Lambert, i was a little surprised. (I was right that Matt was gonna be in trouble in the previous post)

The top 2 contestant was Danny Gokey and Allison Iraheta who both recently celebrate their birthday...a behind the scene footage was shown during the results show and it was so funny...everyone was throwing flour at each other and smashing cakes at each other face...and Ryan gave Danny the 6000 dollars cleaning bill to Danny...LOL

The top 5 contestants performed I Got Rhythm and It Don't Mean A Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing) together which was nice...Grammy winner Natalie Cole was the first guest to perform this week and she sang Something's Gotta Give...erm...i don't really like the ending of her song...she was almost out of breath during the end of the performance...Season 5 winner Taylor Hicks returned and performed his single Seven Miles Breakdown with an electric guitar and his harmonica...it's good to see Taylor back on Idol, he only performed once during season 6 after winning Idol...they she bring Katharine McPhee back tonight too because last night was like a Katharine McPhee night...And finally this week mentor Jamie Foxx sang Blame It which was errr...electronic?? I don't know, it was like Kanye West all over again...didn't like the song and the computer generated voice...Next week Slash will mentor the Top 4 with Rock n' Roll hits

Top 5 performs Rat Pack Hits

This is the BEST EPISODE & BEST WEEK ever on American Idol Season 8!!! This final 5 contestants performs Rat Pack Hits!!! Everyone sang well and dressed up well this week...pictures of all 5 contestants will be posted!!!

Since it's the semester break now, i can watch Idol earlier...let's start with Adam Lambert, he sang Feeling Good, OMG...it's my favorite performance from Adam...very good...the peak of the song was awesome!!!Allison Iraheta sang Someone To Watch Over Me, it's a nice slow ballad that Katharine McPhee also sang during season 5...i still prefer Kat's version coz she has a nice softer voice which really suits the song, Allison voice is raspier which i don't think it suits the song...but she sang it well too...Danny Gokey sang Come Rain Come Shine, which Katharine McPhee also sang it during season 5, i still prefer Kat's version...Kat voice is some much nicer compared to them...LOL, but Danny sang it his owwnnn wayyy...i'm a Danny fan...so i can't say i don't like it...
Kris Allen sang The Way You Look Tonight, i'll be shock IF he sang badly this week, this week should be easy for Kris because he's good in singing slow ballad songs, i enjoyed it, i was nice as usual from Kris...can't say anything bad about him, and i think this is the first time he wore a suit on the show...not bad, LOL
And finally, Matt Giraud sang My Funny Valentine, i like his performance, but i don't really like the song thanks to Constantine Maroulis from season 4, he made me hate that song, coz i didn't like Constantine version at all...but Matt made the song really nice...but Matt might be in trouble tomorrow...the others performed better than himAnd speaking of season 5, season 5 winner Taylor Hicks will be performing Seven Miles Breakdown from his new album "The Distance" tomorrow during the results show.

Second Visit to MPH Book Fair

It was a usual boring Tuesday holiday afternoon, surfing the net, watching dramas, comedies (laughing alone mentally) and reality shows as usual...terrorizing facebook with pictures...and blogging halfway, i received a message from Monica asking me whether i want to go to the MPH Bookfair again in PJ with Stephanie...the last time we went was last October...same place again

I immediately said yes...i was already rotting at home, gotta do something else...going out means spending money...LOL, so we left home at 2pm...we got lost around the PJ area, making turns here and there but we found the place with the help of the map from The Star...

Time given for Book Shopping: 1 hour...so i started browsing...the books this time is not so interesting compared to last time...i walked the whole warehouse and couldn't find any interesting book until i found this in a cornerSabrina The Teenage Witch: Ten Little Witches, i've never seen this title in TARC library before, and it was a special edition publication...i grabbed it immediately...and it only cost RM3!

After warming up with the 1st book, i walked another round, i saw this aunty holding a recipe book that i gotta have...she told her husband it was the last copy...and i looked around ...she took the last copy...i saw this man kept on looking at the aunty hand wanting to ask her to let him to have a look at the book...so i was like...not a single chance i will get it...so i walk away...so i walked the recipe books corner another round...some books are displayed on a table while some a arranged in a box messily...

After looking at the dictionaries section, i went back to the recipes section and tried looking for that recipe book again...and i found it...i'm not sure whether that aunty put it back or what...i found it in a box...The Smoothies Bible by Pat Crocker...this book offers fruit, herb, vegetable, dairy, and hot and frozen smoothies recipes...quite many smoothies...the recipes are in the second half of the book, the first half of the books introduces the ingredieants details...very detailed...@@, health conditions, you can find all kinds of health conditions in this section...even those i didn't expect to find...and suggestions on which smoothy to drink if you're having those problem...

Some health conditions i saw was infertility for male and female...LOL, skin conditions...acne, cancer prevention, menopause @@ and many many more...the book is RM20

I saw another similar book next to the smoothies bible, The Blender Bible which is also RM20..It's from the same publisher, the difference is that this whole book is only recipes...which is good too...more recipes...appetizers, salad dressings, sauces, soups, desserts, sweet sauces, smoothies, cocktails, and baby food, curry, breakfast, lunch and dinner recipes...there's more than 500 recipes in this book...i wanted to take this book but Monica suggested i took the other one...i ended up buying both...grer grer grer

After settling down with 3 books, i wanted the last book that i saw in the newspaper. it was at the entrance and i didn't notice it...because it was in a box! The Children of Hurin by J.R.R. TolkienSince Monica gave me the "voucher" i got it at RM15, it's RM19 without the voucher...i read the first paragraph of the introduction in the car and stopped!!! OMG!!! I need a dictionary when i'm reading this book...there's more than 5 bombarstick words that i don't understand in the first paragraph already, i read other parts of the book, it's more simple in the middle...the sentences are simple...but not simple...it's like embeded with literature codes...LOL

Do you understand "OF MIM THE DWARF"...i think it means The Dwarf of Mim...it's like written in ancient english language

Walking around the book fair i noticed some of the books that i bought during the last MPH fair...The Chronicles of Narnia...i bought it for RM15 last time and it cost RM18 now...LOL, there's are other books which also seemed more expensive...eg, Charmed series...from RM3 to RM12...WTH, did they forget to change the price tag??? So after an hour of book shopping, three of us went to TARC to meet Ms. Chan, our course supervisor...Stephanie needed to print something and let her sign some letter, and Monica tried getting POP "guidelines" from her...and i saw Mr Julius marking the final exam papers in the office...and he made fun of me again...i couldn't even see him and he already called me...grer grer grer...

After spending some time at block V, the sky was getting darker and it's almost 6pm...i suggested we better leave before 6pm...i freaked out when the guard made weird noises in block V, and there's no class going on at all...just 3 people in the office and 3 of us...i told Monica let's leave before we see things that we are not suppose to see...

A Juicy Post

Looking at the tv & computer screen constantly is hurting my eyes already...it has only been 5 days since the final exam ended...

So i looked for something else to do, i saw the table has two combs of banana, one was already ripe ready to be eaten and one was still lime green, there's apples and oranges in the fruit basket, there's papaya and grapes and apples again in the fridge...so i thought no one in the house will finish it and it will be left till it rots
So i took out the fruit juicer machine thingy...errr...i thought of making 5 different juice, but i was like...i can't drink so many juice...so i kept the juice machine and took out the blender...cari pasal saje, mix it all together...it's easier...and faster...and i don't think i have enough grapes to make a full cup of grape juice...so i just blend it together...

It's like some fruit vegetable drink i bought in Mid Valley next to Quiksilver which burned my wallet for a cup of fruit drink...it's a combination of celery, guava, orange and pineapple, and it's was in green colour >.<

I chose to use green apple instead of red apple (to make it a little sour)...if you're wondering, i'm also wondering, why do i have so many fruits at the same time at home...grer grer grer, i chose the purple grapes insted of the dark colour grapes...grer grer grer again...2 types of grapes and apples, and those are not for praying purposes!

So here's my ingredients for the juice: one green apple, one orange, one banana, a slice of papaya (the size you get at a fruit stall), and 10 grapes. If you're using grape with seeds, you have to slowly peel of the seeds inside...that's what i did, yawn...cut everything into small sclices, and put all the fruits in the blender, add a cup of water, you don't want the whole thing to be thick and creamy like gravy sauce...AND BLEND!!! Don't peel the skin of the fruit except the orange and papaya...and banana...ugh SPIN SPIN SPIN TILL IT MAKES YOUR HEAD SPIN AND YOUR EYES GO WOOZY... and TADA... two full cups of fresh vitamins...the grapes skin somehow was slice into small pieces and not fully chopped and sliced, but the skin has vitamins rite? no harm then..

I can taste the banana, green apple, and orange in the juice, but i can't taste the papaya and grapes...maybe i used to little of papaya and grapes..and it's bubbly

The King Of Snooker

I'm not sure what to call this boring period of classless time of mine, i'm not sure whether the free time i have now is called holiday or waiting for exam results time or looking for job time...ugh

Since i'm figuring things out now...there's this new Hong Kong Drama that just ended two days ago called The King Of Snooker (桌球天王)...it's those kind of over the top computer effect unreal abilitilies the snooker player has on this show...like the previous modern drama series Aqua Heroes..."Breaking Ice" technique used in the swimming pool...but now it's just pool...no swimming this timeIt's about a story about a really really good snooker player Yau Yat Kiu (郑少秋-Adam Cheng) who suddenly retires from snooker world...because of something he did to his girlfriend which ended up losing her, he will only return to the snooker world when someone can solve the "hard" snooker game that he set up in his restaurant Cue Power.

So some young guy Kan Tze Him (邓健泓-Patrick Tang) actually manage to solve the game...(as expected in a drama =.=") so Yat Kiu has no choice but to mentor Tze Him all about snooker and Yat Kiu daughther Yau Yat Kan (周丽淇-Niki Chow) who also loves snooker manage to persuade him to teach her as well...

Then there's this new snooker player Ray Lui Kin Chung(郭政鸿-Derek Kok) and Kan Tze Him aunt Chin To To (滕丽名-Joyce Tang)...who also plays a big role in the show...Ray Lui has this cue that has this dragon computer effect thing going on everytime he uses it...dragon roar also =.="...

Ray likes To To in the series, it's like War-In-Laws 2 (野蠻奶奶大戰戈師奶) all over again...Astro 311 is airing it nowat 8pm...i'm watching it on DVD again...too boring at home already

Talking about of the The King Of Snooker...i found out my brother has been going to snooker center after school to play snooker few days ago!!! The snooker center is just around the corner of my mum office, of course i told her and she said she allowed him to go...WTH...krik krik krik...OMG...he started playing snooker after watching this show... i went gaga...And my brother took out this snooker cue from the storeroom in the house this morning...i was like...since when there's a cue in the storeroom...krik krik krik again

Second Double Elimination: Anoop and Lil Rolled Off Competition

Being in the bottom 3 for the past 2 weeks, Lil Rounds was the first contestant to be sent home this week, her bad song choices have not been favorable to the judges and...me! LOL...there are many better past contestants that is better than her who also sings the same genre and styles! Lil is one of the bravest contestant on the show who stand up for herself in front of the judges!

Anoop Desai was in the bottom 3 for the past 3 weeks! It's finally his turn to be sent home this week too! Anoop was the wild card contestant that formed the first Top 13 on American Idol! He started off the Top 13 with weak performances, as his performance started to improve week by week he ended up in the bottom 3 for the past 3 week!

Before the elimination, the Top 7 dressed up with bell bottoms and shades and performed Shake Your Body (Down To The Ground) by The Jackson 5 and was choreographed by judge Paula Abdul! Some looked great in those shiny outfits but some..."eh"After that a medley of Disco songs was performed by 3 guest performers starting off with Freda Payne who sang Band of Gold, i heard this song when Kimberly Locke performed it during season 2 Hollywood Week and was addicted to it, Kimberly even recorded a studio version of the song. Freda sang it weirdly...it sounds good but sounded a little weird for me...Then Thelma Houston performed Don't Leave Me This Way (Simon), she kept mentioning Simon in the song and i could not stop laughing...i liked the song too, Vonzell Solomon sang that during season 4.And KC ended the medley with Get Down Tonight with two backup singers and two backup dancers...i don't know this song, so i didn't enjoy it really much, but it was good! And the final guest performer for this week is.....DAVID ARCHULETA!!! If you don't know who is this guy, he's the guy that i kept talking about for the whole past month!!! David sang Touch My Hand, which i already know the lyrics and heard it for months already...it was sooooo GOOD! I can't stop smiling when i was watching the performance! I was wondering did he buy that jacket from Sunway Pyramid that he wore during the performance...

Top 7 returns with Disco Week

The Top 7 contestants on American Idol returned to the stage to perform Disco songs this week! Finally, some familiar songs on the show again!!!

Lil Rounds opened the show Chaka Khan's I'm Every Woman and i was not impressed at all, Lil can you choose better songs? It's like she trying to impersonate the original singer...Simon said she has no chance of staying in the competition...well, at least i know she will be in the bottom 2 this week, VFTW is going to vote vote vote for Lil...

Kris Allen sang a Donna Summer song, "She Works Hard For The Money" OMG, that's a girl song and he took a really big risk! He turned an up-tempo disco song into a jazzy slow song! I liked it really much...well done!Another guy contestant to sing another Donna Summer song was Anoop Desai! He sang Dim All The Lights, i thought it was quite OK...not jumping off the chair, i enjoyed the music more than his vocals...will be in the bottom three again.Danny Gokey sang September by Earth, Wind, and Fire...LOL, the name is kinda elemental...last week Danny sang a slow song...and now another up-tempo song, i actually love this song, Anwar Robinson sang this during season 4 and i instantly fell for it...so i enjoyed Gokey again this week.....but Simon thought it was clumsy...what???!!! BOO

"Stayin Alive" for another week was Matt Giraud, he sang that Bee Gees hit song and it was quite good...his performance reminds me of Justin Timberlake...in a good way

Adam Lambert sang If I Can't Have You by Yvonne Elliman, i know this song but i can't remember how the original sounded like...i heard it many times before but it's not popping in my head...Adam did a great job but changing the tunes...ugh, i'm trying to figure out how the original sounds like...

And finally, Allison Iraheta sang Hot Stuff by Donna Summer...third Donna Summer song! The song was a little slower and doesn't really sound good but her vocals was fabulous! Allison did a great job again!David Archuleta returns to American Idol to perform tomorrow night!

Don't Forget To Remember Me

The final class for the diploma course ended today. It will be the last time that all 35 of us with be sitting in the same classroom together learning, laughing, yawning, staring, joking, gossiping, hating, loving, discussing assignment with each other.

Two years of diploma course ended in a blink of an eye. Time really flies. I still remember the first day of orientation very clearly, meeting new classmates, sitting around strangers, listening to our senior yapping (LOL). Hanging out at cafe's with lecturers during break time, going KLCC, Sungai Wang with new classmates.

During the two years, some left and new ones came in, there was so many ups and downs. Presenting assignment in front of the lecture hall in front of hundreds of strangers during the first semester, and reading out for lecturer for him in the lecture hall to the students, and those people can't even catch me reading one sentence! And i had to repeat and repeat! From taking trains, walking everyday, to carpooling, and now - drive.

One of the two to be selected for interviewing with the Professors from other local universities. Rushing assignment till 3a.m. in the morning. Going to college as early as 8.30am to find out class was canceled. Staying in the college after class doing nothing till late in the evening. One of the victim that lecturer like to use as an example.

From singing to acting horribly (reading people lines). Meeting new friends who unexpectedly turned out to be gay and stalked me on weekends! Going to MPH book fair to get really low priced storybooks and ended walking with heavy books for 30 minutes with classmate who also ended up going to David Archuleta concert too!

And now these people that i spent my two years with will be parting way, some might stay on continuing AMS, so might start working, some might change institutions, and some...get married and start a family! I'm still at a crossroad. Two more exam papers to complete the diploma course!!!Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for a while and leave footprints on our hearts. And we are never, ever the same.

Matt Made History

No one is going home this week! The judges decided to saved one of the contestant from elimination! Matt Giraud will be back next week! In the bottom three with Matt was Lil Rounds and Anoop Desai. Anoop received positive reviews from the judges but...it seems he has a smaller fan base.

Returning to the Idol stage this week was season 3 contestant Jennifer Hudson who sang If This Isn't Love, she looked great and sang really really well, no wonder she won a Grammy and an Oscar! And Miley Cyrus sang The Climb from Hannah Montana Movie, i enjoyed it really really much! WooHoo...GO Miley! The dress looks nice but isn't it a little too old for her?Another Disney star - Zac Efron made an appearance on the show to promote his latest movie "17 Again"...The Top 7 will return next week for Disco Week and two contestant will be eliminated.

David Archuleta says Goodbye and TQ

David Archuleta is back in Utah...sob, it's not the last you will hear about him on this blog! Archie will be coming back to Asia next month to perform in Manila with David Cook...that's nasi lemak he's eating...nasi lemak...my worst nightmare since year 2 at DMS

Archie vlog at KLIA leaving Malaysia and arriving back in Utah:

More David Archuleta coming up!

Top 7 perform Songs From The Cinema

Is it me or is the contestants on American Idol is getting boring and boring-er...70% of them are choosing really boring boring songs and it made me yawn so much!

This week the Idols was coached by filmmaker Quentin Tarantino who was also a guest judge back in season 3.

The show started off with Allison Iraheta singing I Don't Want To Miss A Thing, i guess you guys are familiar with this song...performed originally by Aerosmith from the film Armageddon, Allison is the only female that could win this whole competition this season, she sang it really well tonight and the producers should let her perform last this week!

Anoop Desai is back again! He sang (Everything I Do) I Do It For You from the movie Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, he put in so much soul and emotion in the song, he should sing more ballads and less dance tunes! It was good.

Then it came, Adam Lambert screeching again...OMG...Simon said there will be half of the people who will love the performance and half will despise it...I'm one of the people who despise it...he sang Born To Be Wild from the movie Easy Rider, i don't like Adam doing the screech thing!!! my ears bleed...i still like his top 8 performace more...

Danny Gokey performed Endless Love by Diana Ross accompanied with a harp this week, it was GREAT GREAT GREAT, although the beginning part was a little rough...but overall it was GREAT GREAT GREAT! Danny rocks! Matt Giraud sang Have You Ever Really Loved A Woman and played the piano from the movie Don Juan DeMarco, errr, i like it but too much false setto in it...it was ok, not jumping up and down...yawn performanceKris Allen sang Falling Slowly from the movie Once, Kris is one of my fav, but kinda falling slowly too...i don't know, i think he need to show more personality on the show, yawn performance...

And closing the show this week was Lil Rounds who sang The Rose from the movie The Rose??? I think she sang really well this week, but Simon think it was "eh", and Lil fired back at him! At least she chose a better song this week
