A Cut Above Charity Pre-Event

Hi hi, it's been a while since I last updated about the event. It's finally here, A Cut Above Charity is just less than a week away. And today we started our pre-event at TAR College Canteen 2 foyer. Let's just say everyone was busy with their own department's work and ambassadors arrangement.

I left for college a little earlier today because the product sponsor that I was in charged of delivered the products to the canteen 2 today. I arranged them to arrive at 10am, so I had to be a little earlier than them, but disaster struck when the traffic was so bad at MRR2, I didn't expect the jam to start at Sri Petaling...I was not worried because I was still early, it was only 8.50am and I still have more than an hour to reach college, but around 9.30am, while I'm still stuck at the turtle bottle neck near Pandan Jaya, the delivery man called me and told me they are already at the college...

I was like OMG!!! So after that stretch of turtle bottle neck the road was smooth again, and I reached college before 10am!!! LOL, but they were already there, so I felt a little bad, and the product I am referring to is the Cremo Ice Creams!!!
You can only get them when you buy the hair cut tickets at only RM10 during our pre-event at TAR College Canteen 2 foyer booth!!! *while stocks last* With the RM10 ticket, you will be getting a haircut from A Cut Above Academy trainees with quality assured checked by the ACA Academy educators, so don't worry, you won't look ugly. All funds collected will be channeled to a beneficiary home!
So hurry, get your haircut tickets ASAP to get a free Cremo Ice Cream!!! What else do you want? You get a nice haircut, one Cremo ice-cream, and you get to do charity also!!! And here's a peek at the Cremo Ice Cream freezer...waiting for you!!!

Carlson Calls

OMG, last Friday I got a call from my ex-colleague Casey from Carlson Marketing, the company that I went for intern during the beginning of the year.

She told me that there's a salary cheque that I didn't take when I left, so I was quite excited that they pretend nothing happened about the cheque, so Casey told me she will bank in the cheque for me asap. After that, she asked me whether I would be interested to return to Carlson for part time in December!

I couldn't be happier to say YES! I can't tell you how much I love to work at Carlson Marketing! But I can't, with all the hectic schedule in college, with event coming up in two weeks time, thesis final amendment, and writing assignments to submit, I don't think I can handle college and work stress at the same time, so I told Casey I would think about it, I had to ask for some advice. Another thing is that I won't be getting intern salary anymore, I'll be getting a part time salary...and the PT salary is really tempting!!!

I was also happy that they thought of hiring me again, I must have behaved really well during that 2 months...hehehe, so after getting some advice, I think I should not work at the moment, because the third week of December I won't be free, and my working hours should be very messy and it would affect on my job performance, I don't want to look as if I have no discipline during work as I have to travel from college to town during the peak hours...I prefer to work during the holidays when I could concentrate 100% on work and not about college stuff...

So maybe after my final exam, if they still need a part timer, I would surely say yes without a doubt! ;)

Another Disastrous Charity Event Post

Disastrous Event was deleted, so here's an update about the event. Everyone has to give RM50 to the event as we still couldn't find any sponsor. *clap*

Everyone was "summoned" to a meeting today organized by the event members and not the leaders, apparently some of us are not happy with the RM50 issue and also how the leaders are not communicating well with the members. I had no idea what the meeting was about, so I was one of the two AMS student that attended the meeting along with Priya.

So there were some complaints that everything was kept a secret from the members as we don't know what are the progress of the leaders or each department, so some of us are really frustrated about it, so everyone who went was trying to find solutions that can solve our current situation.

So now we're approaching Kidzcare again...after all the hurrah's we're going back to Kidzcare again, and we haven't approach A Cut Above, so, what happens if ACA doesn't want to come?
Sponsor, currently cash sponsor approached YTL's YES, if they're not sponsoring us they will target Tune Talk...haiz, I've lost my mood already, still don't have general proposal and head-letter, how can I send out letters to look for sponsor, and it's already end of week 9, week 13 is the event!!!

Things are so messed up, I "donated" that RM50 + RM15 for printing fees (paid today week 9 last semester still need RM15??) + and another RM10 for transcript fees....= RM75, and I bought Elixir last week, and a new modem yesterday RM90!!!

And there's still so many things to buy: Glee: The Music, Volume 4, Glee: The Music, The Christmas Album, and Glee: The Music, The Rocky Horror Glee Show! OK, the CD's are not urgent so it can wait. And so many more stuff I don't even know what are those things, and I've been so stressed up that I forgot to bring my drinking bottle to college for to consecutive times! Grrrr......this event thing is really driving me crazy

And there's another meeting tomorrow for product sponsor...I'm getting Crazy!!!!

Year Two Final Semester

Time flies...I can't believe week 4 for this semester ended just like that. This is the final semester for my Advanced Diploma in TARC...as usual, feels like I didn't learn anything yet this semester...LOL.

Yesterday, LJMU came to the college to "sell" the University...I'm quite disappointed with the presentation as they told us the same thing as the previous year. And the slides are the same! Unbelievable...they told us what to expect for our studies during the program and stuff...and also fees! haha

When they briefed us about our accommodation, my eyes started to fill with tears. I'm not sure what I heard the presenter said, the college hall sound system was terrible, I heard that they say students will have to share a toilet, we will have our own bathroom - to bath. Then I don't what happened, I think they said there's no toilet bowl in our own toilet in the room...I was like: "Do I have to go out of my room everytime I need to pee or poo?" And share it with other people?!

I almost cried in the college hall when I thought I have to share toilet-bowls with the other students! I don't want to go out of the room to pee or poo everytime...those toilet will definitely smell bad or be really dirty!!! But according to my memory, (LOL) the pictures I saw from my senior Facebook, the toilet has a basin, shower, and a toilet-bowl....so who on earth heard the wrong stuff and gave me a big fright!!!

After all the hoo-hah talk from the university, everything finally started to sink in, they told us we just need to bring 3 sets of clothes there as the summer sales there is crazy and everything is really cheap! I was like, if everyone goes to the summer sale and buy the same clothes together then won't everyone be wearing the same thing? =.=" but it sounds really tempting, seniors said the luxury we could only afford is either Starbucks or sandwiches...harh...I was like, that's so sad...I'm gonna lose weight if Sandwich is the "luxury" students only can get...so what's the non-luxurious stuff? And I'm not a Starbucks or coffee addict so I can live without it!

Then another problem: choose your housemates, each house will have 5-6 people, so I guess I don't have many choice here...to choose the housemates. And apparently they hinted me I'll be cooking for everyone...I don't think I will have the mental strength and energy to cook a nice meal for myself when I'm so far away from home...which really scares me when I think about it...the lucky thing is that no one smokes maybe except for one of the guys...the senior, I don't really know him and we're not sure whether is he planning to go or not...

Family is planning to buy an apartment in UK, but no decision has been made where to buy yet...first choice is in London and I think the second choice will be in Bath...to buy an apartment in UK is really a big investment...because it's in  pounds...and a two room apartment cost around 185-300K in London!!! Convert it to RM it will cost $$$...of course you need time to think carefully whether is it worth buying...too bad the University is in Liverpool and the apartment is either in London or Bath...so no point dreaming of not staying in the hostel...haih...

I think I better stop worrying about all this Degree program thingy...I have yet to complete my thesis and whole Advanced Diploma course yet...and it's only week 5 next week...9 more weeks to go...ugh...another thing, everyone is planning to apply for the Kojadi loan...should I apply too? for emergency use in UK or whatever reason...but the interest rate is quite high...argh...pass everything in college first and worry about all this later...

Xenri D'Garden Terrace & Xenri D'River View

Went to dinner with family at Xenri D'Garden Terrace at Menara Hup Seng, which is just two buildings away from my internship office at Jalan Sultan Ismail...it's a Japanese Fine Dining Restaurant serving authentic Japanese cuisine.
Even before we enter the restaurant, we were greeted by the beautiful view of the garden outside the restaurant. The environment was quiet, peaceful and serene as well, and you won't believe that all these peaceful environment is in the heart of the busy, noisy streets of Kuala Lumpur.
The restaurant has a nice interior design and theme, dim and soft lighting, a modern meets traditional contemporary table setting.
Okie, what we ordered, fyi, I'm the kind of guy that will only order the "safe" food that I'm familiar with, which means whenever I go, I'll order the same thing over and over again. I leave the adventurous part to my brother...and I try a bite or two from their dish.

Let's start with drinks, I ordered Apple Juice...LOL...safe rite? And it's green!!! My brother ordered a Mint Mojito, it's cooling...really cooling...it's bubbly with a dash of mint leaves in the drink.

The appetizers - tempura tofu, soft shell crab maki, and avocado prawn maki, we didn't order any sashimi or those muggle sushi that, coz we can get that at Shangri-La Hotel... The fried tofu and soft shell crab maki tasted good, both maki is cold on the outside and warm on the inside, with a dip of japanese horseradish, you get a rumble party in your mouth!

The avocado prawn maki, my mum wanted to try it because my cousin's hotel  Japanese restaurant serve this dish also, she wants to compare which is better, and of course, the family one tasted better...well I'm not a big fan of prawns so I won't judge...but if you want me to choose of course I'll choose the family one...
Main course - safe dish again, my usual Beef teppanyaki, OMG, I've been to tons of Japanese Restaurants, and they serve the best beef in town, it's not even Kobe or Wagyu beef and it's already so good, the best non  Kobe/ Wagyu beef I've ever tasted, it's soft, tender, and the texture of the meat is so smooth...the dish is served with garlic rice, and the usual teppanyaki set.
It's not the best garlic rice I've ever tasted, the Japanese restaurant in Hock Choon taste so much better, since kindergarten, I still think the Japanese restaurant in Hock Choon serve the best garlic rice! My brother ordered a beef set as well, but served in a hot pot with soup, raw egg and a side dish of tempuras.
And the dish that everyone shared on the table was the salmon head hot pot (sorry I don't forgot those fancy Japanese dish name)...it tasted weird, maybe I don't really like the taste of the fish...we struggled to finish that dish...as usual...with all the appetizers and main course...
And finally, for desert, the captain recommended us Mango Parfait, so we took that, me and brother shared, and considering how stuffed we are already...we managed to finished it...LOL

Our second visit was to Xenri D'River View which is somewhere in Old Klang Road for dinner again, I guess we went on a wrong day, because it was raining heavily that day and there was no river view for us. As usual, fine dining service from the waiters, we were seated in a more private part of the restaurant this time , it looks like a room but it doesn't feel like one, and we can't see the main hall as there are doors...ok...I think it's a room...but I hate the room...there's mosquito's in the room!!! HAHAHA

I didn't bring my camera this time, thinking that I would order the same thing again, and yes, I did, salmon head hot pot as well, my brother tried something else...I think he ordered two kinds of fish unagi and shishamo...As it was raining outside, I ordered HOT green tea and no dessert this time as it was freezing cold outside...And the menu for Xenri Garden & River is different, there's some similar dish, but not all is the same...I prefer D'Garden's menu...it's safer...

Vanessa Moves to Wisteria Lane

Desperate Housewives season 7 started last week, I can't believe it's been seven years, time really flies...I didn't read any spoilers for season 7 with all the Glee mania going on!

I think Desperate Housewives had some boring moments in the past season, but with a new lady in town, things are looking a little exciting. I didn't know this at all, but when I saw Vanessa Williams aka Renee Perry stepped out of her limo on Wisteria Lane...my jaw dropped...LOL, she was fun to watch on Ugly Betty, and now she's the new vixen in town...it's gonna be an interesting season!
And a few cast from previous season are back, Paul Young, Mary Alice's creepy husband is out of jail, and renting Susan's house...and Felicia Tilman (I hate her) who is plotting something against Paul - again...

Katy Perry Responds to Sesame Street Ban on SNL

I previously posted on Katy's reworked version of Hot n Cold that she did on Sesame Street, after some complaints from some concerned parents stating that her outfit was too revealing for kids, the video was not aired on television, apparently the video I posted was removed as well...

Now she's poking fun on the controversy by appearing on SNL wearing a really tight Elmo t-shirt...it's hilarious!

Hellcats

Fall is back, which means our favorite TV shows are returning to the small screen at home, both Ugly Betty and Heroes series ended. So there's lots of new shows premiering on air now. One that I'll be watching is the new TV series Hellcats - starring Ashley Tisdale aka Sharpay Evans!

Hellcats is an American cheerleading comedy drama series staring of course Ashley Tisdale & Alyson Michalka. It revolves around Marti (Alyson) a pre-law college student at Lancer College in Memphis, Tennessee, who comes from the wrong side of town.
When budget cutbacks and Marti mother's carelessness cause her to lose her scholarship, she is forced to look for a new schorlarship. She overhears that one of the college cheerleaders has become injured, and a place on the team is available. Seeing no other option, Marti uses her previous gymnastic training to try out for a spot on the team, and a chance to get the scholarship that comes with it. After the team coach and captain see the potential for adding something new and different to the team in her, Marti makes it onto the Hellcats, the college's competitive cheerleading team.
Here's a short trailer to the new comedy drama series - HELLCATS!

Wake Up

I didn't get a good night sleep for the past few days, even during semester holidays, all in the name of thesis/ final year project. I was doing my thesis for chapter 1, didn't want to stopped half way and continue the next day, afraid that I would forget the things I have done, I decided to continue until I finished the whole chapter.

Which I ended up finishing at 2.30am!!! After sending the Chapter 1 to the lecturer, of course I went to bed, I had a feeling I was going to get sick because I slept so late, guess what, the next morning (Tuesday) I woke up, my nose started to milk like a cow, and my throat started to itch, the itch is a sign of a sore throat coming my way...

At 12pm noon Tuesday, everyone at home got sick, not because of me, my brother > mum > maid was down with cough, and then brother started to puke and down with a fever...that is when I knew I will get sick too, since I'm already half way there...I had my usual remedy for my throat before the throat got worst...

But the nose milk kept coming, the lousy Panadol Cold and Flu pills doesn't work...maybe because I only took half of the pill...LOL, then I can't remember what happened on Wednesday and Thursday, I guess I just stayed at home and rest...oh yea, I stopped sneezing the moment I wore a face mask...and there was no more milk...

And I couldn't sleep at night, maybe because of the migraine I had, so during the day I was a little tired and dizzy, I took afternoon naps, yesterday (Thursday) when I was sleeping around 2pm, my dad called me and I woke up...I was a little irritated as he called me for nothing...so I went back to sleep.

Then I couldn't sleep at night again! My sleeping disorder starts again...around 11pm, my mum came into my room...which disrupts my attempt to fall asleep, oh well...I guess I fell asleep around 1-2am...

6am this morning, my mum woke me up from my sleep....AH!!! I had less than 5 hours of straight sleep, I was really irritated already...then somehow I fell asleep again...then at 7am, my brother phone rang!!! oh wait!!! my mum phone rang around 6am too!!! I was like WTH...can their friends call during normal hours and don't call during dawn???!!!  Seriously...then I had a hard time falling asleep again!

Then at 9am...my phone SMS tone rang!!! My lecturer SMS-ed me....T.T...I didn't bother, I fell asleep easily this time, 10.30am...someone called me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No name! By the time I picked up the phone...the person hang up!!! ARGH...seriously!!!

I decided to wake up after all these disturbs & annoyance from everyone...and around 11am...my mum called to tell me to boil chicken bone soup to make porridge for my aunt, she said my aunt is sick now...seriously, I wonder why...for my case, I slept late...but I guess most of them got sick because of the weather...it rained this morning, weather was cold, my nose milked again...here we go again with the tissues!

Worst Gathering Ever

It started with a Facebook status update that lead to this "gathering". There's suppose to be three of us, but I guess Ms. Drag Gay Queen predicted that it's gonna be a shitty gathering so he didn't want to go...

My friend is suppose to come and pick me up at 11am...so I waited and waited and waited until 1pm!!! My friend finally called! I even waited for him for lunch, so he told me that he's gonna have his own lunch and will pick me up after he visits the bank. WTH, and he arrived my house at 2pm!

OK, so there's some dumplings in the fridge, I heat it ,turned on my Hong Kong DVD drama, and had my lunch, then he called again, he said he can't find any place to park his car, so he came to pick me up and went back to the Giant near Bandar Puteri...I had to sit in the car and wait for him to run his errands in the bank! TWO Banks! The worst thing is that even I told him I don't like listening to Hitz.FM because the DJ's are irritating...I guess he just ignores me...Ironically, the station was playing the idiotic DJ version of California Gurls!

So after his errand to the bank, we went to Mid Valley Megamall, guess what, it took us 45 minutes to find a place to park the car...GAH!!! It was already 3.30pm!!! So he wanted to buy shoes, I have nothing to buy, so I just accompanied him around Mid Valley, before that, he told me he wanted to smoke first...I was like WTH...gosh, Oh yeah...I forgot, I forgot he became a smoker...and seafood...let me explain the seafood...

His hair...dyed gold, didn't shave, his spectacles glass is brown, his hair is longer than usual, his clothes, tight black tee well...he wanted to wear a white jacket, I told his to leave it in his car, it's not winter here! Actually because with his whole look now, he looked like a gangster/ seafood...

So he wanted to smoke, I was reluctant to let him smoke, so I suggested we go to Starbucks as you can smoke all you want and drink there...so I don't know how but we ended up in Coffee Bean! As usual, why does he still behave the same as last time in high school - order for me la order for me la, I don't know how to order...OMG...fine, he even asked me to recommend him what coffee to drink...how the heck do I know what coffee is nice? I don't drink coffee, because I always drink Ice-Blended Vanilla in Coffee Bean!!!

So he got his iced coffee...he wanted milk...he wanted sugar...but I don't know why he didn't want to put any into his coffee...he said there's ice, so can't put any milk or sugar...so he drank only a quarter of his RM9 coffee! While I slurp my Vanilla happily...hahaha

But drinking happily is one thing, sitting outdoor and baking our skin is another story, we sat at the smoking area, he took out two boxes of cigarettes...I was like...WTH WTF!!! Basically I sat there I breathe every 5 second, I didn't want to talk to him at that point because the consideration level of his towards me is 0, every word he speaks the smoke blows in my face! And he had to smoke two in a row!!! Damn!

So we left coffee bean, 4pm...he wanted to buy shoes with a budget of RM50...in Mid Valley, seriously? You can't find that in MVC...and I started to get headache after inhaling his stupid cigarettes...so we went in to every sport and shoe shop in Mid Valley and Gardens and he didn't want to buy any of it...which he started to irritate me, it was either too expensive or not his taste or survey around first...I started to lose my patience after walking in to the same shop over and over again and looking at the same thing over and over again!!!!!

If you know me I can buy the stuff I want in less than 10 minutes and leave the mall within 30 minutes! At that point I was already freaking tired of walking both malls back and forth back and forth...And while we're in the Gardens, he started talking about the sling bag he's carrying...a Louis Vuitton sling bag...I told him to just buy that shoe of his and stop surveying...why do you need to survey the price, you're using a LV sling...

Then he started crapping about his LV bag, my bag is a imitation (fake), Grade A, RM280...so I was like...seriously?! Why did you pay and imitation for that price....then he crapped that no one can tell the difference and blah blah blah the rich can't even tell the difference...In my mind...hello...I know that's a fake already the moment I saw it...(when he wanted to take it down from the car I was like, do you really want to bring that bag to Mid Valley?...in my heart I already know it was a fake and carrying walking beside it made me really embarrassed...haih...even the strap thingy is fake...so obvious...I wonder how he said that's Grade A?

So really tired after the whole back and forth thing and my looks says it all...he ended up going to Bata to buy a Nike...seriously....from a RM50 budget to a RM180++ Nike??? Is he trying to mess with me or something? So I just sat inside the Bata store and thought of Akiko watching The Expendables with Steph or thinking when is Ms Suat is going to ask me out...because I would enjoyed much more hanging out with them...

After paying for his Nike, I said it's time to leave, but he said he wanted to check his shoes, WTF, shouldn't you check your shoes BEFORE paying it? Who checks their shoes AFTER paying it?!. Why do you still behave weirdly? I was so bored, pissed and tired, and I feel like the friend I once knew has already changed...and the headache is driving me crazy, and still having it now as I blog this post...enduring before I go to sleep...

Ugh...it was a terrible day, the headache got worst and I went into his car again...two f****** Ambi Pur (air freshener) in the car! the aroma was so strong and I get bad headache after smelling it for too long, that's why I never buy men's perfume for myself...ish...Please let me have a normal happy laughing gossip gathering and not "walked smoked baked smoked and perfumed" anymore!

Birth Of A Rich Man (Korean Drama 2010)

I recently finished watching the Korean television drama series on KBS World - titled Birth Of A Rich Man, also known as Becoming A Millionaire. I tweeted about this series a while back ago. The series stars Lee Bo-Yeong as Lee Shin-Mi, she also starred in The Partner, another KBS series that I blogged about last year.
The story revolves around Choi Seok Bong who is looking for his billionaire father, who doesn't know his existence. The problem is the Seok Bong doesn't know who his rich father is either. He works as a bellboy in a luxurious hotel hoping to find his father there.
Seok Bong practices the elegant lifestyles of the rich in the hotel so that he will be a qualified billionaire heir when he finds his father. Seok Bong was told that he is diagnosed with cancer, obviously without enough money for medical treatment, Seok Bong relies on billionaire Oh-Sung Group's heiress Lee Shin-Mi who is also known as the notorious penny-pincher!

Self proclaimed as Lee Shin-Mi rival - Bu-Ho Group's heiress Bu Tae-Hee is a supporting character in the series, which made the series really entertaining and comedic throughout the series! Tae-Hee is a spoiled child who always spent her dads' money without even have to lift a finger to work, Tae-Hee is in love Frontier Group heir Choo Woon-Seok since high school, but Woon-Seok is always buying gifts for Shin-Mi, which always upsets the easily emotional Tae-Hee, Woon-Seok has a hidden motive for wanting Shin-Mi as his girlfriend.
Bu Tae-Hee always make funny looks and faces throughout the series which is really really really funny...which made me laugh uncontrollably. Check out the pictures below!
Actress Lee Si-Yeong made the character really entertaining, I wonder if there's any person that's so crazy walking around on the streets...LOL

Another Shocking Statement

Wow, people are weird nowadays...they say bad things to us to make themselves feel good...well, this was posted on Facebook by one of my high school mate, it's a personal message sent by another classmate during high school...and now everyone from our high school can see this!
It says: " god u ppl never change a lil! i thought age had passed but u guys still the same tiny shit brain! stop bitching and live ur won life dude! guess i got a betta life than u which is obviously true!! so just get out of my page k...wat if i say i delete u...sounds better dnt u thin! loser!".

I think that a**h*** mispelled own as won...LOL...well i'm not the recipient of this message...

My thoughts: wow, this guy is seriously twisted...he thinks he's better than everyone who studied in the school now?! I don't usually trash people like this, but how can he be better than all of us? We are so much better than him and it can never change! His thoughts showed what's in his brain...nothing but rubbish thoughts! Why can't people bitch around in their lives huh? delete the people you hate in your facebook page! I bet they don't really care either! Deleting people you think that you are better than them doesn't glamor-fied your Facebook page...I think he's the one who should get a life...because all he does is sending out crappy messages like these!

I felt like thrashing him here...but decided to remove that portion from this post! Those things I wrote can be really mean and hurtful...and I meant really MEAN! Well...I wonder how is that idiot better than anyone in the school now? LOL...did he get a chick or a car or a house?

Happy Teacher's Day

Happy Teacher's Day to all the teachers who have taught me in the past and present! This is not a planned post as this morning as I was reading the Sunday's edition of the Star Education section, the cover was four people posing in some nice clothes...and one of them looked really familiar to me...
It was my English teacher Pn. Tay aka Ms Loo Mee Keun who taught me from Form 3 to Form 5! She was one of the winners this year for the Star's Teacher Idol competition. The lady second from left in the above picture with her hand open wide...LOL

Some junior from my school wrote an essay about her and somehow inspired the judges that got her for a day of makeover at Pavillion KL...Kudos to her and my fellow junior, judging from the essay entry he wrote to The Star, so much has changed in my high school!
Pn Tay getting her makeover by a make-up artist at the Laura Mercier counter!

Here's the link to The Star article titled "Stars of the Noble Profession". And this is the link to the essay entry the student wrote to The Star titled "The Funshine in Class".

In high school, no doubt that my favorite class was Pn Tay's class, English was my favorite subject in high school, literature and writting essays and reading...I miss those days, I also remember Pn Tay will photocopy a lot of exercise for us and we had to cut and paste into our exercise book and do them!

Happy Teachers Day again!
