Kris Allen Is The 8th American Idol!

We've crowned Kris Allen as the 8th American Idol, the whole season has been a little boring for me "for you" because it's like only watching a horserace between Danny Gokey and Adam Lambert, but the dark horse took a spot in the finale and end up being this year winner! The producers saved the best for last, the Grand Finale was the most exciting episode for this entire season.

The Grand Finale started with the Top 13 contestants performing So What by Pink. They got everyone hype up with this loud rock song, it was a nice performance, i think Jasmine Murray was a little out of tune...Then Season 7 American Idol winner David Cook performed his latest single "Permanent", a nice slow rock song from Cookie.I think no Golden Idols Award was given out during last year season finale, but this year the show gave out 3 GIA to three Idol contestants. The first award were given out for Outstanding Male, Top 36 contestant Nick Mitchell/Norman Gentle received the award and reprise his performance of Am I Telling You I Am Not Going...i really enjoyed seeing him "messing" around on the stage! And i can't stop laughing.Then Lil Rounds performed a duet with Queen Latifah, singing Queen's latest single Cue The Rain, it's a nice R&B song, reminded me a little of Jordin Sparks "Battlefield", i was actually hoping "fake" rain would come pouring down the stage...LOLAlexis Grace and Anoop Desai performed I'm Yours with Jason Mraz, i like the song so i enjoyed the performance, it seems Alexis toned down herself since she was eliminated...Country singer Keith Urban performed a duet with Kris Allen singing Kiss The Girl, doesn't sound like a country song, heard of Keith at awards show many times but never heard him sing until today...it's was good!The Top 13 Girls performed Glamorous and Big Girls Don't Cry with Fergie, Fergie sang most of Big Girls Don't Cry...which was not nice!!! We want to see the Idols sing more than her! And the other members of Black Eyed Peas came onto the stage and sang Boom Boom Pow, i hated that song! When i heard Ryan announced that Black Eyed Peas is going to perform, i said please don't sing Boom Boom Pow, ugh...i never like that song from the first time i heard it on the radio!Another Golden Idols Award was given out for Best Attitude, which was given to Katrina Darrell aka bikini girl who came onto the stage in a bikini suit, who performed Vision Of Love, and judge Kara DioGuardi came onto the stage and sang with her, Kara undoes her dress as she performs with Katrina, Katrina looked a little pissed.Allison Iraheta sang Time After Time with Cyndi Lauper, it's a nice song, Cyndi went a little "possessed" in the song...LOL, which was scary.Danny Gokey performed "Hello" and "All Night Long" with Lionel Ritchie, it's so nice so see Danny again...as usual, Danny did a great job and sang his heart out...woohoo Danny!And the next performance was a nightmare for me, Adam Lambert came onto the stage in a weird looking spiked outfit and sang "Beth", and then an alien ship came down from the stage, a band with painted face who keeps sticking their tongue out...singing "Detroit Rock City" and "Rock and Roll All Nite"...there're KISS, have you heard of them? i've not...It's the MOST MOST MOST OVER THE TOP PERFORMANCE OF THE ENTIRE SEASON!!! With non-stop fire bursting on the stage, fire "confetti" above the stage and spinning behind the stage...i like the fire show but not the performance...it's like a horror movie, the members of KISS wore outfits like thorns coming out...Power Ranger Goldar feel, the middle was stripped open which bushy chest hair...ugh...>.< Matt Giraud performed "Black Magic Woman" with Carlos Santana and then the Top 13 joined them to perform "Smooth"...another nice group performance from the Top 13. Megan Joy Corkrey and Michael Sarver performed "Pretty Flowers" together written by comedian Steve Martin who also accompanied them on a banjo. Another nice song and performance from the Idol contestants. The Top 13 Guys performed Do Ya Think I'm Sexy? and later "Maggie May", Rod Steward took over the stage with the second song and it seems he almost fell on the stage...LOL The final Golden Idols Award was given out for Outstanding Female, Top 36 contestant Tatiana Nicole Del Toro won the award of course...LOL, Ryan told her not to come on stage because they're going into a commercial, but she didn't care, she went on, stage took the award and sang "Saving All My Love For You" for the fourth time and the security guards came and tried to drag her off the stage, which she escaped a few times...LOL (it was all an act) And the final performance, Adam Lambert and Kris Allen sang "We Are The Champions" and Queen appeared on the stage half way during the performance and the rest of the Top 13 joined them. Another great performance from the top 13. And finally, Kris Allen is announced as the new winner of American Idol and sang his new single "No Boundaries".It's the best finale since season 4 and 5!
