Season 8 of American Idol finally reaches its climax! It's the final performance show and all will be over tomorrow...until the next season starts next year again.Adam Lambert sang Mad World, a song that he sang on the show (Top 8) before, it was one of my favorite performance from Adam on Idol, i enjoyed it the last time he sang it, no screech for this song...LOL, it was good!
Kris Allen sang Ain't No Sunshine, also a song that he sang on the show (Top 9) before, once again, i enjoyed it last time and i enjoyed it even more this time! Great Job! Kris was featured on the piano again! America definitely made a right choice for voting him into the finale after watching this performance!
Adam Lambert performed his second song A Change Is Gonna Come by Sam Cooke, it was a soulful performance by Adam, a little over the top (again), a dash of his shrieks and screeches, a little theatrical, and hated the middle part...the last note didn't sound right with the melody...
Kris Allen second song was What's Going On by Marvin Gaye, it was a nice interpretation by Kris Allen again, didn't seem like a finale performance, it's more like a "Top 24 great performance which can get you through the next round performance", but it was a nice performance from Kris!
And...the winner's single, "No Boundaries" co-written by judge Kara DioGuardi (of course), i think it's a nice winner single since Inside Your Heaven, A Moment Like This, and This Is My Now.Who sang it better, i hate to say this but Adam Lambert sang the song better, it requires the singer to have a high vocal ability, and Adam sang it like a winner!
But i like Kris Allen version more, it started in a "dark" way and when he reaches the chorus, it's like he found the "light" but it ended weirdly, like snap! it ended just like that...LOL
Since season 5, when the final 2 performance is over, the goodbye song that was used during the whole season will be performed by the artist who sang it...and this year goodbye song was Home Sweet Home by Carrie Underwood! Carrie is GREAT GREAT GREAT all the time!!!
Many past contestants and current contestant could be seen in the audience tonight...it was nice to see some of them again.Get Ready for the Live Telecast of the finale result from Nokia Theater tomorrow on Star World at 8.00am! (+8.00GMT)
