I saw this TVB Hong Kong personality guy in a Tai Thong Restaurant at Jalan Ampang last week, i think it's called Royal China Restaurant...Royal something...just next to Ampang Park Mall...
I recognized his face when i saw him but i don't know his name...LOL, he's the guy with a TV show on Astro Wah Lai Toi, he travels around to find food...i don't think "find food" is the correct way to describe it...something like documentary where he introduce food to viewers...
Last night i had a terrible headache after dinner...must stop eating red meat everyday...ugh...i was switching channels...boring programmes on tv during weekends as usual...i saw this guy on TV again...on Wah Lai Toi, his programme is called Chua's Choice...
I'm blogging this now because i don't know his name until i saw his programme again last night...i can't be blogging something without knowing the person name or programme =.="
His name is Choi Lan (蔡瀾), his programme title is Chua's Choice (蔡瀾歎名菜), so i was at the Tai Thong Royal China Restaurant next to Ampang Park Mall with my cousinsss again...my seat was facing the main entrance, so when a large group of people came in, i felt weird because it's a really large group of people, then he came in with another 2 people, i think it's the tour guide and his manager...
I know i've seen him on tv, but i don't know what programme he's in until i saw him again until last night...he came in, smiling, (imagine Ms Hong Kong smiling and waving and walking on the stage) he was somehow doing that look, or pose, he then walked into the private dining room with that group of people...someone from my table said he looked very "lin si" (hakka language)...LOL
He looks so much better in real person than on tv (leng go siong geng) LOL
No one sceamed or went gaga when they saw him, i was looking around whether others was looking...and everyone was looking at him...OMG...lol...is he that popular or famous...it's not weird to see him in a restaurant, but i didn't know this Tai Thong Restaurant serve something so special that's worth for Choi Lan to introduce to the viewers...
Gin wanted to meet him...LOL...but i don't people can go into the room...so i try to noticed what food they're having...we're already having desserts, almost done with our lunch...i think their starters was errr...Shark Fin Soup...omg...shark fin soup...in this restaurant??? So weird to introduce shark fin soup in Malaysia...i think Hong Kong has better Shark Fin soup...
Speaking of Shark Fin Soup...my mum banned us from taking shark fin soup anymore, she said "save the sharks! did you know we cut of their fins and throw them back into the sea alive?" i was like...grer grer grer...
The other day, with my cousins again =.=", was at in Oversea Restaurant at Jalan Imbi for dinner =.=", when a pot of soup arrived...i thought it was Shark Fin Soup...it turned out to be the Shark Fin Soup without the shark fin...OMG...LOL...they replaced the shark fin with lots of scallops and sea cucumber...i was smirking as i have that bowl of soup...my mum was not kidding...it wasn't that bad...>.<
Saw some other Singapore actor...i had breakfast in a Chinese Restaurant at Jalan Imbi with my cousins (again) LOL...we saw this Singapore actor in Imbi Palace Restaurant...i don't know who is he, but he's quite good looking, everyone was looking at him...i don't know his name, don't know what show he's in...but my cousins know him...and they said he's better looking in real person...LOL...i don't know him...so i don't want to elaborate about this...oh...they said he's quite famous...he was wearing a hat covering his face...LOL

erm.. it is supposed to be "save the sharks! did you know we cut of their fins and throw them back into the sea alive TO DIE IN THE SEA?" i agree.
and according to a friend chef, we now use artificial shark fin that also can be instant (like make maggie like that). so if you want to consume, you can take the fake one. i think its about the same flavour, but he said the difference is the texture (thicker is the real one i think).
and strange.. i dint think got people would review tai thong here... swtz.
lol...i've tried the instant one...tried making the soup at home few weeks back, the fins melted away in the soup...lol
btw, why are you awake at 4.44am?
